Our 3rd Annual Health Fair

Many thanks to our staff, residents and guests who helped to make our 3rd Annual Health Fair a success. Our guests and residents enjoyed the many vendors, lectures on Macular Degeneration and Smart Shopping, delicious food provided by Kendal and our vendors, and music throughout the day was provided by our Kendal residents.

Kendal on Hudson staff enjoyed the beautiful weather on our terrace for our quarterly Staff Appreciation BBQ.

Our Marketing Director helps out at the Staff Appreciation BBQ luncheon as she serves food to EVS staff.

Our EVS manager joined the EVS staff for lunch on the terrace.

Our New Clearwater Garden   

Kendal Clearwater residents and staff celebrated the opening of our new Clearwater Garden.  This beautiful new addition to our Clearwater was made possible by the generous donations of our Kendal residents.

Jean Fritz

Kendal welcomed 4th grade students from the New Windsor School to meet children's book author Jean Fritz.  Jean and the New Windsor students enjoyed a wonderful discussion with Jean about her books, inspiration and life experiences.  The class has read many of Jean's books and look forward to reading more.

The Sprit of Generosity

Kendal residents and staff generously donated three car loads of clothes, food and toys to our community Open Door, a community Health Service provider.

Our Marketing Team at our local Open Door Medical Center.  They delivered many of the generously donated items by Kendal on Hudson residents and staff.

SUSHI NIGHT

Residents enjoyed Sushi Night at Kendal on Hudson.  Our dining staff presented our residents with a wonderful menu complete with chopsticks, sushi trays, green tea cheesecake and tempura. 

Our Japanese theme dinner menu provided a variety of   Japanese food items prepared by our dining staff.

Our Executive Chef displays one of the many sushi platters prepared for our residents to enjoy. Every detail was considered including dessert. Our Japanese theme homemade green tea cheesecake was a fabulous finishing touch at the end of the night.

Visiting Nursing Students

Nursing students from University Medical Center Utrecht in the Netherlands visited Kendal on Hudson in late November 2007.  Their visit to Kendal on Hudson was to learn more about Continuing Care Retirement Communities in the United States.

Our CEO and Marketing Director joined students form the University Medical Center Utrecht for lunch in our Bistro.

The students toured the grounds and stopped to take this beautiful picture with Rockwood Park as their background.

One last stop, a look at the wonderful Hudson River on one of the Kendal benches.

Giving The Gift of Life

Kendal on Hudson residents and staff came together to support our 3rd Annual Blood Drive.  Their donation will give the gift of life to a recipient who is in a moment of need.  Our generous donors who not only gave of themselves but also of their time received a free lunch and one lucky donor won a digital camera.

Our Executive Assistant introduces Jake to a member of our support staff.  Jake is a certified therapy dog who routinely visits our Clearwater residents.
